Welcome to my website. On this site, I would like to explain what my breeding aim is. I am an amateur breeder, and I like to see beautiful sheep in the meadows. By this I mean a sheep with a good, striking head, but also a sheep with enough vitality to be able to raise two lambs. Because I make sure my sheep are in heat early every year, there is little I can say about their fertility. There are several rams which have clearly left their mark on my farm. Among them are 4210-2800, 4030-1980, 4030-2101, and, in recent years especially, 3993-1030. I have taken several pictures, which clearly show what you can expect at my farm.

Father: 3993-1030, mother: 0573-0038 (1980-daughter). This sheep has been registered with 90 points for general appearance and 92 points for head. It is a strong, sturdy sheep, sufficiently developed and good looking. At the moment, she is expecting twins. She is the sister of ram 05673-0103, registered as a lamb with 88 points for general appearance. Her genotype is ARR-ARR.

Another A-sheep, born in 2000 and registered with 90 points for head. She is expecting twins, which were sired by ram 4030-2982. Her father is a ram I bred myself, 05673-0093 (1030-son) and her mother is a 1001-daughter. Her sister has been registered with 89 points for general appearance and 92 points for muscle.

Two well-developed ewes with a lot of good breed characteristics. The left ewe has been registered with 90 points for general appearance and 92 points for muscle. She was sired by a ram I bred myself, 05673-0061 (1030-son) and her mother is another 1001-daughter. Just like number 81, she has been tupped by 4030-2982.
As you can see, I set great store by sheep with a good, striking head, which is well-developed and shows good breed characteristics. Because I also worry about scrapie, this year I have only used rams with ARR-ARR.

- Ram 05673-0148 I bred myself. He was registered with 88 points. His father is 05673-0103 and his mother a 4030-2101 ewe.

Everyday I enjoy looking at this ram. He has got a beautiful head, which clearly shows his breed, and his ears are always pointing forwards. Since he was born, his head has had good breed characteristics. It still does. He is well-developed, grows fast, and his tail is nice and small. His father is the well-known ram 4380-2727. His mother is a 4030-2544 daughter. This ram was bred by my neighbour Nici van Heerwaarden, and we are the joint owners.

Because of my work, I am away from home a lot during the day. If you want to see my sheep or wish to talk to me, it would be wise to make an appointment. You are always welcome. In principle, I want to take blood samples from all my sheep in May in order to determine the scrapie genotype. Even in my absence, you can see my sheep. I will make sure you will have plastic overshoes as well as a list of the rams with their pedigree and genotype.
